Aqua Play

is a fun filled water-based playgroup for infants and toddlers.

Each session is comprised of nursery rhymes, aquatic toys, games and lots of fun. The program also gives mums, dads and carers the opportunity to enjoy the support and interaction of other adults involved in the program.

Who facilitates Aqua Play?

All sessions are conducted and supervised by an experienced and qualified member of staff, however they are not considered a structured swimming lesson. The session is predominately based on exploring the aquatic environment through social interaction.

Who is Aqua Play for?

These interactive group sessions are designed for infants, toddlers or pre-school children who want to experience water play in a safe happy environment. We do not recommend infants under 6 months participate in the program.

Parents must accompany their child in the water.

Also could parents & carers please note that nappies cannot be worn in the water and that snug fitting bathers are essential. Suitable swimwear for this age group is available for purchase at the counter at Aquarena.

When is Aqua Play?

Classes are held Mondays and Wednesdays from 9.15am - 9.45am during school term only. Bookings are not required. Childcare facilities are available whilst sessions are in progress. Please contact us for more information.

The Manningham YMCA, managers of Aquarena believe early introduction to the aquatic environment can enhance a child's desire to participate in swimming lessons and recreational aquatic activities in the future.
